Explore the initiatives we run to empower communities and promote economic freedom.
Among ALMAC’s goals, there is the major one: advocating against economic crimes. In Burundi, corruption often disturbs economic development as donors pay extra to obtain rights. This project seeks to reduce this malpractice.
ALMAC will gather policymakers, entrepreneurs, and citizens for open discussions. Policymakers will be encouraged to provide services properly, while entrepreneurs will be motivated not to pay bribes. Citizens can report corrupt practices.
Within five years, we hope for a society where everyone can access services they deserve without extra payments. The country will move closer to being corruption-free.
Young entrepreneurs in Burundi face heavy taxes which hinder their development. This project analyzes the effects of multiple taxes on emerging businesses.
1. Gather young entrepreneurs to collect their insights and recommendations.
2. Engage policymakers to adjust taxes according to the capacity of young entrepreneurs, promoting fair economic development.
We expect a tax system favorable to young entrepreneurs, allowing them to develop businesses and become self-employed.
ALMAC identifies government over-intervention in business as a barrier to economic development. TURASHOBOYE seeks to limit such interventions and empower entrepreneurs.
Host meetings with policymakers to advocate for limited government intervention. Highlight the potential of Burundian businessmen when given freedom to operate.
A short-term goal is to create a society where the government governs but does not interfere in business operations, allowing entrepreneurs to thrive.
Knowledge is key for change. Burundian youth have limited access to libertarian and economic freedom materials. This project provides resources for learning and empowerment.
1. Distribute books in universities to spread awareness of economic freedom.
2. Establish a “Liberty Library” where individuals can read materials on liberty, economic freedom, and limited government.
Equip students and entrepreneurs with libertarian ideas. Readers will become advocates in their communities, promoting liberty and economic freedom.
