Do African countries need Limited Government?
For the good perfection and
working of the state, there should be the understanding between government and citizens.
If this goes contrary, there is no development needed. Anyone is asking himself.
Between government and the citizens which has power? Which should help the
other?
Coming back, we will confirm that we have the powerful government if
it helps and facilitates the citizens in their needs. Anyway, this can’t happen
if we have an interventionist or authoritarian government. For the limited
government, is one where legalized force is restricted through delegated and
enumerated authorities. Countries with limited governments have fewer laws
about what individuals and businesses can and cannot do. In many countries, a
written constitution is used to spell out the powers and limitations of
government power.
In fact, in a country where the government is not limited,
you will see everything being controlled by the government.
Goods controlled by the government, investments
controlled by the government, importation controlled by the government, exportation controlled by the government. In this case, it will be very
difficult for business men to operate their activities because they are working
using their own capital but this this capital controlled by the government. In reality, most countries even those with
otherwise high degrees of freedom and liberty operate with some amount of
government control and intervention.
Let’s advocate for limited government and reach to the development: Advocates of limited government are not anti‐government, as some people say. They is evil to concentrations of coercive power and to the arbitrary use of power against right. With a deep appreciation for the lessons of history and the dangers of unconstrained government, they advocate for constitutionally limited government, with the delegated authority and means to protect our rights, but not so powerful as to destroy or negate them.Limited government describes a political system where government bodies are prohibited from certain activities, many modern political systems have codified legal rights that cannot be violated by the government, police, or military. In addition,in economic policies, limited government is frequently associated with the ideas of classical liberalism and laissez-faire economics. If the government tends to control everything, and as it can't have enough investments in all activities without businessmen, the economy fails and some basic needful items are not available. Fuel, law materials, electricity, goods from outside the country,...
In its basic form, a limited government is one whose main function is the protection of people and their property, and it levies just enough taxes to finance services related to these purposes. According to this interpretation, a limited government might tax the population to pay for police or national defense, but it would not concern itself with the beliefs or moral behavior of its citizens.
Call in action
Nowadays some African countries are being qualified as poor countries because of the act of their government which are interventionists.Indeed, this action should not lead to the development of the country.Let's advocate for the limited government in favor of our countries prosperity.
